Tournament of Valor
Updates
2/20/22 Tournament of Valor update:
The Tournament of Valor continued after a 1 week recovery time, warriors needed time to heal their wounds, stich up those cuts, ice down those batter bruises, aching muscles and get some well needed rest! Also, they wanted to watch the Superbowl!
Stepping into the battle last weekend there were two new warriors trying to take advantage of those that have been worn down by the first half of the battle!
Our very own Commander Pat McCormick and friend Sean McManus started out the day to see who was going to take on the battered warriors of the first half! Rumors has it that the battle was great going Hill – Hill and Sean took the win to move on! Pat may have lost this match, but I am sure he will be back to fight again!
Sean decimated his opponents one by one playing a total of 16 games every match was fierce going Hill- Hill. He was getting weak with no food or water insight, only beer available when he came up against Shawn Interrante! Shawn took a look at the tired and a bit bruised Sean M and then like the lioness does she makes quick work of Sean and tosses him back to the side lines like a dead jack rabbit that was chased down, Now Sean M must go rethink his actions, trying to step in halfway through the tournament and beat everyone up, not today Sean M - take a seat!
Sean did have a valiant run landing him at 8 place, taken down some of the best shooters in the house to get there! There is always next Sunday!
Prior week 2/6 Ray with out the help of his sideline coach or his mentor, also ran the ladder taken down player after player in EPIC battles, Ray was on fire and landed himself at position 4
All please visit our legion Riders Web page, we will post up coming events and pictures form some of our rides and fund raisers! New events in the making and monthly rides. Get involved! Rumor also has there just might be a Karaoke night coming up soon, hope to see you all there!
1/29 Legion Riders 234. The Tournament of Valor
The games begun sharply at 1300 as the warriors gathered and step up to the table to face their opponents! The battles were swift and fierce between all competitors, but this week we had a battle that stood out to me!
Valor at it best: The first battle of the day was truly of Epic proportions and what you may see in front of you is not always the battle that one must face! The battle within was challenged and conquered with great might, skills, and determination! This warrior may have lost the battle on the table - if that is what you watched! But he won an internal battle that only he could conquer by stepping up and confronting his frustrations! He pockets balls with great confidence, his game play was at a new level and his stroke resembled that of a professional! Even when losing the game knowing he did the best he could, he still felt great about his match and himself! You have done well my friend - Whitey!
Match 2, 3 and 4 - Shawn I the lioness was lurking around the table waiting to strike! Her first game was a match to defend her current position! The unexpecting warrior steps up to the table not knowing that he was about to be behead! Shawn quickly makes quick work of her prey, pocketing balls with cat like instincts! Every shot was executed with precise execution and just like that 1-2 your out! She quickly points her finger at her next opponent and says, “You got me last week but today, I got something for you, step up to the battle ground!”. It was a match like cat and mouse, both opponents going head-to-head and every now and then the mouse would hide! Shawn would kick at those balls hiding behind cover to get them out into the open and BAM just like that the mouse was dead, she batted it around a few times to ensure it wasn't a possum and she continues to rise up the ladder! Shawn’s last match did not fair well for her, but she fought a tough match going HILL-HILL (1-1) before succumbing to the new Goliath (New Goliath is another story maybe later) which stopped her rein of terror for the day. Just a reminder for you lurkers out there, cats have 9 lives and she will be back to fight again!
Some cool words spoken to me this weekend – “If you let your emotions to take over when you make a mistake before you have the opportunity understanding your mistake, you will not learn from it!” (I hope I got that right)
Below are the current standing - please take not that we are also tracking games won and just not who is in first! This weeks new Goliath racked up 10 wins in 1 day - it is out there for anyone who wants it bad enough!
